Metalwork
and Fabrication
My most challenging metalwork project. Tackling a custom motorcycle build has been challenging yet very rewarding.

The most dramatic part of the build is the fuel tank. Welded from semi-truck exhaust pipe. With relief for the riders legs.

The ignition module finds a dry home under one side of the fuel tank. With a fresh coat of zinc chromate primer.

The under-seat electrical bay will house the centralized electrical system. I'd like the bike to show as little wiring as possible when it's done.

The battery will be held in place by a rat-trap style mechanism and connected with a high current connector. The whole assembly can be removed by two cam-locks for easy access to the fuel tank hold-down.

A latching system to hold the seat down.

An aft and side view of the fuel tank, seat and tail light assembly.

I had permission to use a paint booth at work to paint the frame.
A mock up for a show and shine event. The bike has been adapted to fit modern wheels, custom painted in envious red. I riveted a custom muffler and adapted it to the stock pipes. The engine has a thick coat of enamel.
